The client is looking for a Sales Representative LIEGE to join his team in Belgium.

Client Details

The company is a leading wholesalers of confectionery, drinks, tobacco, and prepaid card products serving thousands of customers: gas station, independent shops, night shops, retailers.

With a workforce of over 200 employees, they ensure that their 5,000 convenience sector clients receive fast and accurate service every day. Their central services, along with their support and development department, are coordinated from their headquarters.

Offering a sophisticated range of products, a substantial stock with their own delivery service, and specially designed computer systems for the sector, they have become a valued partner to their clients.

Description

The "Sales Representative" visits existing customers and prospects new clients with the aim of promoting and selling the products of the company in line with the company's commercial objectives. The geograophical scope will be Liège.

Main responsibilities:

Management and development of the customer portfolio in the region:

  • Operational follow-up of sales points (POS) and their orders (visiting customers; introducing new references from the catalog; selling ongoing promotions such as displays, drives, special actions; gathering information from competitors about prices, types of products, promotions, and consumer behavior;
  • Analysis of figures and the evolution of his/her customers compared to the forecast, monitoring qualitative and quantitative results per category, evolution of the product mix (e.g., analyzing sales per customer, per category, per product "toppers," mix....; analyzing promotion/POS/customer results; analyzing turnover, product mix, analyzing the competitive market).
  • Advising the customer on assortment and product presentation in the store (category management, space management): stimulating sales and bringing the customer's "back shelf" to life with tailored promotions (displays, folders, etc.) to increase our market share per customer on their purchases of all products.

Prospecting:

  • Searching for and visiting prospects, conducting sales conversations, convincing them to place a first order;
  • Monitoring market development in his/her region
  • Being attentive when acquiring new customers (solvency, reliability, etc.).
  • Administration and internal coordination:
  • Correct use of tools (e.g., CRM)
  • Building and maintaining a customer and prospect database, collecting and recording all relevant information about these contacts.
  • Managing and monitoring administration based on procedures and deadlines.
  • Monitoring unpaid invoices and preparing internal reports on this.
  • Accurately applying internal agreements of the company on pricing policy when closing price agreements.
  • Collaborating with other departments, especially customer service (e.g., in case of disputes, issues, questions, helping customer service ensure good contact with customers).

Contributing to the sales community:

  • Participating in monthly meetings, preparing and sharing information, sales practices, and bringing forward discussion topics to improve sales performance.
  • Participating in contests and presenting new ideas.
  • Preparation, planning, and organization of customer visits:
  • Creating a schedule of visits according to the objectives to be achieved.
  • Handling and resolving complaints, delivery problems, and overdue payments (in consultation with credit control); being well-informed about this information to prepare for customer visits.

Profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Economics
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales or similar position
  • Experience in FMCG sector or Tobacco
