Our client is a leading construction company in Belgium based in the Brussels region.


We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join the growing team in the construction sector. As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services essential for the construction projects. Your ability to source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers will directly contribute to the success of our projects and overall organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and stay informed about industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and coordinate procurement activities accordingly.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, quality, and reliability to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Analyze and interpret purchasing reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring procurement practices adhere to legal standards.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role within the construction sector.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with construction materials and processes.
